If I say I can do something and you hire me, and I end up not being able to do that thing, I expect to be fired.

On the other hand, if I hire you based on what you can say you can do, and you end up not being able to do that thing, you should expect to be fired.

Set expectations.

Hold yourself accountable.

Hold others accountable.

That’s how you solve all your problems around poor productivity, low morale and low profit margins.
